Description
You service your car… so why aren’t you servicing yourself?
Healthy business owners build healthier businesses … it really is that simple.
When you’re self-employed, you are the engine. But how often do you actually give yourself the time, care, and attention to keep that engine running well?
There’s always a reason to skip the gym, the swim, or the early night – but we rarely skip the drink to “unwind” after a long day. We tell ourselves we deserve it.
But what if that go-to habit is quietly slowing you down? What if shifting that mindset could be the thing that helps you level up — in business and in life?
In this honest and energising session, we’ll explore how getting intentional with your wellbeing (and yes, your relationship with alcohol) can help you show up sharper, stronger, and more in control of your business than ever before.
What you’ll get out of it
Vince will share what’s worked for him, what didn’t, and how you can start creating your own version of a healthier, more sustainable way of working.
Expect mindset shifts, simple habits you can try, and a refreshing conversation about success that doesn’t rely on burnout or booze to get there.
Who should attend
Any independent business person or owner who has an interest in turning up more present for their job, or has cracked the healthy lifestyle and wants to share their experiences with others.
About the speaker:
I’m Vince Hannant and I’ve been running my own leadership training consultancy for 2 and half years after a career in IT and then Leadership development for other peoples businesses. I took my first board position at 28, almost 30 years ago, and have predominantly worked at this level since.
I’ve helped take a start up to £2.5m annual t/o in 4 years, through an IPO and several successful funding rounds to the tune of £6m, then went on to be Ops Director and eventually Managing Director of Dove Nest Group – a leadership training organisation for nearly 10 years. I consumed alcohol for pleasure, for social acceptance, for business networking and as a coping mechanism for most of those years.
I have now been sober for 18 months, and along with a revitalised diet and PT and studio classes at least 4 times a week, feel 10 years younger than 10 years ago! I became qualified as a sobriety coach this year and launched www.theexecsobrietycoach.uk alongside my day job of running www.melioresse.co.uk.
